InchClose To All, Next To NothingInch - which lyrically is rooted in terrorism in the name of religion - is a more thrash-oriented song, with a catchy sing-along chorus. InchWhen The Trap Is SetInch is the most melody-driven song out of the four, with it's 80s horror movie-esque theme running through the song. Lyrically this song takes it's starting point in the 1995 Oklahoma city bombing. InchShadow.44Inch is the most death metal-oriented song on the album, with lots of tremolo-riffing and blast beats. The cover art and it's distortion is to represent the confusion, fear, anxiety, depression and mess it is of me finding myself on this new music/life journey and the death of an older version of me. In the music there's a lot of references to spirituality, my frustration with the youth and my people, & self empowerment lines/verses. GROWING PAINS is an extension of me and if you're a thinker who lives life through questions and concerns... this poetry is for you. With a couple line up changes over the years they started to speed things up a bit on Divine Providence; not that they shed their blues tinged country rock sound entirely, but the album has an even split of fast stompers and mid-tempo country bar howls. The original 12 songs on the album are about as close as you can get to a beer drenched show with the band; the addition of the 5 songs from the Tim EP and the 12 bonus tracks of alternate versions, outtakes and rarities make for a close encounter with a lost weekend with the band.
