Ghostly Int'l HTRK - Rhinestones - Blue - VINYL LP
31.3 USD
HTRK, the Australian duo of Jonnine Standish and Nigel Yang, walked into their 21st year on reflective terms. Accompanied by a series of performances and installations throughout 2024, they teamed with long term partners Ghostly International to repress their 2009 full-length debut, Marry Me Tonight (out February 7th, 2025), finally bringing the to streaming services, and shared String of Hearts, a new EP featuring covers/remixes from friends including Loraine James, Liars, Double Virgo, and more. The duo continues to look back while moving forward, sharing news of the next reissue the beloved 2021 album Rhinestones.Self-released in the fall of 2021, Rhinestones was a revelation for HTRK, kickstarting a subtle resurgence for the Melbourne group and showing them at the top of their powers. Marked by a new infatuation with Incheerie and gothic country music,Inch Rhinestones is an elegant nine-song suite of windswept emotion and heartbreak noir, crafted in skeletal arrangements of guitar, voice, metronomes, and FX. From whispered lament to acoustic eulogy to downtempo vignettes, the album took cues from the economy and brevity of Western folk but skewed through a narcotic, nocturnal lens. The set garnered high praise from Gorilla vs. Bear, The Wire, and Pitchfork. The latter wrote, InchOver the past decade, the Melbourne group's music has grown lighter, gentler, and more inviting with every . Here, they trade their minimal-wave roots for unexpected forays into gothic country.Inch Album Tracks 1. Kiss Kiss and Rhinestones 2. Valentina 3. Sunlight Feels Like Bee Stings 4. Siren Song 5. Fast Friend 6. Real Headfuck 7. Reverse De´Ja' Vu 8. Straight to Hell 9. Gilbert and George

InchWe have never worked better together. We believe this is because we exorcised all of our demons through our past records, we have no baggage, we started anew. Ghostly Int'l Fort Romeau - Beings of Light (Silver Halide) - VINYL LP
27.23 USD
After a run of critically-acclaimed singles and EPs, British producer Michael Greene, aka Fort Romeau, returns to the full-length with Beings of Light, the long-awaited follow-up to 2015's Insides and his second LP on Ghostly International. While a prolific DJ who orients many of his productions for the dancefloor, Greene still sees the album as the ultimate statement of intent, Incha space to stretch out, to speak in full paragraphs rather than stunted sentences.Inch He has explored several stylistic fragments in recent years (including the summer 2018 anthem InchPablo,Inch hailed a Best New Track by Pitchfork), but when faced with the extended pause to the dance community in 2020, Greene felt compelled to focus on a larger body of work. Embracing a back-to-basics mentality, he amassed over a dozen hours of sounds, asking himself throughout the sessions InchDoes the music move you? Is it honest?Inch He came out the other end with Beings of Light, an expressive collection traversing rainy day ambient, moonlit disco, and dream-like techno in pursuit of the power found within our subconscious.Like previous Fort Romeau records, Greene's foundational inspiration for Beings of Light is imagery. Specifically a work by Steven Arnold, a Dalí protégé known for constructing otherworldly, tableau vivant set designs from found objects until his death in 1994 amid the AIDS crisis. Arnold's 1984 photograph Power of Grace (featured as the album art and lending a title to one of it's tracks) spoke to Greene immediately InchIt's transcendent in the most potent and direct manner, imagination untethered by material, elegance without riches. For me it represents, among other things, a radical class politics. Imagination always wins over resource.Inch The visual, as well as the surrealist idea that dreams allow us to create a better reality, led Greene to shape his most ambitious and
Ghostly Int'l Studio - West Coast - Black & White - VINYL LP
32.1 USD
Some called Studio, the project of Swedish musicians Dan Lissvik and Rasmus Hägg, Inchthe missing link between The Cure and Lindstrøm,Inch Pitchfork heard Durutti Column and Can, as the duo's story became swept up in a loosely developing scene - adjacent first to the tag Service (Jens Lekman, The Whitest Boy Alive) and later Sincerely Yours (The Tough Alliance, jj) - and a precursor to the 2010s boom at the axis of electronic and psychedelic music guided by indie greats like Caribou, Four Tet, and Darkside. West Coast, their seminal 2006 debut, captured a faraway romanticism of Balearic brushed up against Krautrock, disco, dub, and afro-beat, with pop lyricism lifted from new wave, all made modern by two art school grads in Gothenburg. First pressed in a small vinyl-only run via their own Information tag, the album has been notably absent from most streaming services, and the internet's record of it's initial impact is all but fossilized from a bygone blog era, while it's sound is simply untraceable to any one moment in music. Outside of three 7Inch releases, they'd keep the music to themselves for several more years. In 2005, Hägg remembers, InchWe got our degrees and were kicked out of our studio spaces so all these recordings were just piled up. A year later we dusted them off and started to deconstruct and assemble them in a more drawn-out fashion.Inch In the same breadth, they cite DJ Screw, J Dilla, and Joy Division, along with early '80s European live DJ sets from the likes of Beppe Loda, DJ Mozart, and Baldelli as reference points. InchThe anything-goes mentality was very encouraging and was a big cornerstone to the Studio sound,Inch says Hägg. InchBut there's so much more to the picture, we were not that young then and had lots of musical baggage in our suitcases, the new thing was that we finally let it all come through, not bound by any borders that was oft
Ghostly Int'l Jacaszek - Music For Film - VINYL LP
27.49 USD
Since his earliest projects nearly two decades ago, Polish composer Michal Jacaszek has kept some proximity to film music. Initially, his output simply felt cinematic by nature; densely detailed electroacoustic textures on releases like Lo-Fi Stories (2004), Treny (2008) and Glimmer (2011) evoked dimly-lit worlds within themselves, vignettes of the imagination. Over time his interest in sound design and collaboration would manifest actual film projects and commissions, some of which have earned him awards. Jacaszek's practice an amalgamation of ambient, classical, and musique concrete deploys field recordings, acoustic samples, poetry, and baroque instrumentation to paint pictures, oftentimes melancholic, nostalgic, tragic. His 2020 album, Music For Film, marks the naturally-occurring intersection of his identities as a solo artist and a film score artist. The collection is now sequenced and released as a single autonomic movement. InchI didn't write to particular scenes,Inch says Jacaszek, recalling the process of envisioning music for Rainer Sarnet's 2017 black-and-white fantasy drama November. InchHe asked me to create a bunch of pieces for a dark fairytale-like movie about love in old Estonian pagan times full of dark magic, strange beliefs, poverty, grit, and natural beauty.Inch That versatile purpose from the onset affords the material particular pliability in the album ; the pieces work on their own. Two tracks originated from the 2019 documentary He Dreams of Giants; another was first used in 2008 project Golgota wroclawska. Context removed, they fuse seamlessly; ten years time between some recordings, erased. A visceral dynamism emerges here with a relatively restricted palette of sounds. Music moves in measured steps, inconspicuous yet holding attention. Opener InchThe ZoneInch is curious and brittle, crawling on keys and a foundational bass thump as string
Ghostly Int'l Khotin - Finds You Well - Purple - VINYL LP
28.25 USD
Since debuting his Khotin project in 2014, Edmonton's Dylan Khotin-Foote has fine-tuned an impressionistic, dream-like style of music that straddles multiple sonic worlds. His output often sways from gentle synthesized atmospherics to hypnotic, dance-minded frameworks. His self-released 2018 LP, Beautiful You, offered a study on melody and memory; the album's nostalgia-nudging use of passing environments, voices, and abstractions captivated a cult following, a rare 4.5 review in Resident Advisor and the attention of Ghostly International, who pressed the cassette on vinyl for wider circulation in 2019. Now, Khotin reveals his first collection of new material since the signing. The album is a fluid continuation of his blissful and melancholic songcraft, extended humbly and warmly, Finds You Well. As tongue-in-cheek as the title may appear, the phrase has haunted the producer for some time. Most often seen at the start of correspondence, the words InchI hope this email finds you wellInch can land with varying levels of sincerity, depending on context and mood. Khotin-Foote started to read the line more ominously during the onset of the pandemic. So, this set of music winks at both possibilities, mixing a platitude's opaque optimism with lurking uncertainty. Finds You Well can be heard in near-symmetrical halves it's 10 tracks represent the selections from a bounty of demos that, with less modes- ty, could have filled two records, one active and the other ambient. The resulting set isn't an even split but it's close. The A-side centers on the album's steadiest sequence of beat-centric material. InchIvory TowerInch is inextricably tied to benchmarks set by late '90s downtempo forerunners, spilling lucious and narcotic synth modulations across a sprinkler's spray of breakbeats. Khotin's sprightly melodic noodling brings that touchstone sound into vogue, bubbling up in fre

With a sound that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly modern, I Feel Alive captures the band at a new creative peak-rich, intimate, and effortlessly cool, reaffirming Tops as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary dream-pop. Ghostly Int'l Hana Vu - Romanticism - VINYL LP
29.01 USD
Hana Vu's Inchcontemplative indie-pop captures the disillusionment of young adulthood,Inch writes NME. Her new LP Romanticism furthers that sentiment as a coming-of-age work that mourns the impermanence of youth and searches for meaning. The acclaimed LA-born songwriter's been making music since high school, with a full-length debut and several EPs behind her of glowy, brooding anthems of abstraction and emotion. With previous work, Vu welcomed feedback as she went, but while crafting Romanticism, she shielded herself from outside opinion to preserve a singular vision. The result is a unified collection of songs aching with depth and intimacy. rich and loud, the songs can feel both reminiscent of guitar-heavy late-aughts indie rock, and expansively futuristic in it's layered synth bass. They pulse with meaning and jolt with playfulness, anchored by her powerful, sonorous voice and underscored by the record's Romantic era-inspired artwork. InchI'm just trying to convey my perspective as boldly as possible. To succinctly crystallize how it feels to be young, but also to be deeply sad.Inch Under Vu's magnetic gaze, soaking up sadness has never felt so alive. Album Tracks 1. Look Alive 2. Hammer 3. Alone 4. 22 5. Care 6. How It Goes 7. Dreams 8. Find Me Under Wilted Trees 9. Airplane 10. Play 11. I Draw a Heart 12. Love
Ghostly Int'l Tycho - Awake Remix - VINYL LP

The story of Awake arrives at it's natural conclusion with this 12Inch of remixes, on which Hansen's songs are re-interpreted by producers who make the songs their own while retaining all of their core elements. Additional remixes from Com Truise, Christopher Willits, Bibio and Beacon, which had been previously released, have been added to this package. Taken together, the Awake Remixes o er a parallel narrative for Tycho's artistic breakthrough. Album Tracks 1. Awake (Com Truise Remix) 2. Montana (Christopher Willits Remix) 3. Ghostly Int'l Tobacco - Hot Wet & Sassy - VINYL LP
27.43 USD
It's been four years since Sweatbox Dynasty, the fourth solo LP from Pennsylvanian experimentalist Tobacco. In that time, Tom Fec's project has toured with Nine Inch Nails, provided the theme song to HBO series Silicon Valley, and teamed with Aesop Rock for a collaborative album as Malibu Ken. He now returns to Ghostly International for Hot Wet & Sassy, a full-length album oozing with his most playful and approachable songs to date, which, conversely, express notions of antilove, self-hate, and disappointment in others.Pop impulses have always surged beneath the surface of his sound - blown-out bass, analog synths, drum machines, and Fec's unmistakable analog gurgle and hiss - here they've bubbled to the top. InchI feel like it's the most I've been able to refine what I'm doing,Inch says Fec. InchFor the past decade I've had this motherfxcker on my shoulder that makes me pick away at structure and melody. Purposely covering up moments because I can. That really came to a peak on Sweatbox. So I wanted the opposite this time. Write the songs without ripping them in half. I went from 'what would the Butthole Surfers do?' to 'what would Cyndi Lauper do?'InchAnd what would Trent Reznor do? Fec found his answer straight from the source. Their collaborative track, InchBabysitter,Inch fuses their voices into one deranged presence InchI'm the new babysitter,Inch they alert, before pivoting into a menacingly saccharine bridge. The track tumbles on a tom fill, then a punishing synth line rips into a cacophony of drums and feedback like a lawnmower gnawing through the living room carpet. InchThis was new for me, but I wanted to write a song that was everything I am and have been, and then like one notch further. Trent was the notch further,Inch adds Fec. The collaboration is a work of alchemy seamlessly blending Tobacco's trademarks with Reznor's industrial rust and sonic gore.D
Ghostly Int'l Kate Bollinger - Songs From a Thousand Frames of Mind - Blue Moon - VINYL LP
30.53 USD
On Songs From A Thousand Frames Of Mind, the kaleidoscopic full-length debut from Kate Bollinger, entire worlds lie in the small details. InchWhen I'm recording a song,Inch the Charlottesville-born, Los Angeles-based songwriter observes, Inchmy indication of whether it's worth pursuing is if I'm seeing a movie in my head to go along with it.Inch Blending classic pop songcraft with scrappy punk instincts, Bollinger casts a collage-like vision that's instantly memorable and uniquely mystifying. Ranging from homespun folk songs to warmly rendered psychedelic rock-like early Rolling Stones as fronted by Hope Sandoval-the resulting album can feel like flipping through your coolest friend's record collection, finding a new favorite song with each discovery. In order to summon this majestic blend of styles, Bollinger spent years cultivating material, challenging herself to work with new collaborators while moving across the country from her native Virginia to California. Evolving the hermetic approach of her early EPs and solo performances, she arrived at a fuller sound based on intuitive responses and in-the-moment energy. InchI came to this realization that most of my favorite music is the result of friends, or players who have known each other a long time, coming together and playing live in the room,Inch she observes. Armed with endless hooks and wildly shifting textures, Bollinger can seem as much like a songwriter as an art-house auteur, crafting the soundtrack and scenery for a non-existent movie. (Fittingly, Bollinger studied film in college, and she also directed the striking music video for Jessica Pratt's recent single InchWorld on a String.Inch)Several highlights from the record were co-written with Spacebomb Records mastermind Matthew E. White, such as the jangle-pop gem InchAny Day NowInch and the theatrical InchI See It Now.Inch After months of writing in Richm
Ghostly Int'l The Emeralds - Does It Look Like I'm Here? - COMPACT DISCS [CD]
28 USD
In the late 2000s a sprawling catalog of what is now genre-defining music was emanating from an unlikely place. Cleveland, Ohio has a broad reputation for many things, but in the aughts, psyche-expanding Kosmische wasn't necessarily Cleveland's calling card... until Emeralds. The trio of John Elliott, Steve Hauschildt, and Mark McGuire had released a profusion of limited-run cassettes, CD-Rs, and vinyl titles that had been passed around basement shows and then migrated to niche music communities online, creating a unique kind of murmur at the height of the DIY blog era. Three kids from the rust belt were crafting a distinctive and truly far-out strain of music on their own terms in the Midwest. They were flipping lids in wood-paneled basements and circulating around the underground with soaring sounds stylistically indebted to deep German electronic music pioneers and released with the ethos and twisted fervor of renegade Midwestern noise freaks. After several releases garnered a die-hard fandom in niche circles of internet/music culture, and then catching the attention of the late Peter Rehberg, the renowned artist and curator of the Editions Mego tag, an expectation was set that the next Emeralds record was going to be a big one. And in 2010, Does it Look Like I'm Here was it. Artistically, the album is a definitive statement; this is to say it was crafted by heads for heads, a genuine article and a profoundly deep listen, but the mainstream dove in too. On the occasion of Ghostly's 25th Anniversary and Black City's15th Anniversary, Ghostly and Matthew Dear present a specialTransparent Silver vinyl repressing.Released in 2010, nearly a decade into his craft, Black City was awatershed moment for Matthew Dear. A steely noir set thatstraddled electronic dance and indie rock classification, earninghim Best New Music from Pitchfork and a worldwide tour with abesuited band, the album unlocked Dear's darkest and mostengrossing ideas to date. The love-obsessed songwriter of 2007'sAsa Breed had given way to a more existentially paranoid entity.Creeping disco tempos, cavernous atmospherics, and strangedistortions brought his signature avant-pop sound to a moodierplace. Black City wasn't to be found on any map. Borrowing the album title from a magazine headline once placed upon Mile Davis (given how well he wore the iconic Weejun loafers), here he channels not just that storied style from the king of cool but an artistic ingenuity and timeless sensibility, redefining his recording project with rich, full-band arrangements. Goya outfits his flow between London's new jazz generation and New York City's hip-hop storytelling legacy, a shared musicality that welcomes various players and guests, including Fatima, lojii, Seafood Sam, Yaya Bey, and many others. Marked by unguarded ambition and introspection, Warlord of the Weejuns is a triumph of taste, heritage, and pride from one of rap music's most dexterous talents. Album Tracks 1. Weejuns (Intro) 2. A multicultural collaboration between producer Na'el Shehade and vocalist Via Rosa, the project plays to the complementary dynamics of their pairing, blurring the lines between R&B; and dance-pop, heartbreak and bliss. Following their signing to Ghostly International in 2019, they realize their years-in-the-making full-length debut, aptly titled Dance Without Me, a refined collection that recasts romantic tragedy as moonlit self-acceptance. Ghostly Int'l Matthew Dear - Preacher's Sigh & Potion: Lost Album - Yellow & Black Marble Vinyl - VINYL LP
27.96 USD
On limited Yellow & Black Marble color vinyl. Twenty-plus years into his career, producer/vocalist/songwriter/DJ Matthew Dear remains artistically unpredictable in pursuit of his prescient strain of electronically-formed, organically-delivered indie pop. His work traverses myriad musical worlds, belonging to none. But these fluid moves have not been without a few forks in the road, decisive turns, and what-ifs. Most notable is the pivot-point following Dear's acclaimed 2007 avant-pop LP, Asa Breed, in which he broke away from the 4/4 grid of his techno/house debut Leave Luck To Heaven and into something much more wild and idiosyncratic. Traveling between his adopted Detroit and his home state of Texas throughout 2008 and 2009, Dear amassed a set of personal, playful, looping guitar-centric recordings he'd consider for his next album. Given the new momentum of the hybrid electronic pop of Asa Breed which led to an opening slot for Hot Chip and remixes for '00 heroes like Spoon and Postal Service, Dear decided to shelf the material. He moved ahead to work on his watershed 2010 album, Black City, a steely noir set which earned him a Best New Music on Pitchfork and a worldwide tour with a besuited band. This Inchlost albumInch had a sound, a spirited country romp in the techno barn, and it had a rough title, a scribble on one of the CD-Rs passed to Ghostly tag founder Sam Valenti IV, Preacher's Sigh & Potion. He never fully walked away from it, and merely kept moving down the road, waiting for the audience to catch up. Over a decade later, that time is now.Preacher's Sigh & Potion finds Dear unknowingly at an intersection in his young run, a burgeoning songwriter at his most freewheeling and unaffected. Dear reflects as he listens back, InchI love hearing how free and raw a lot of the production is. As we age, we get trapped in thinking our output or creativity needs to m
Ghostly Int'l Heathered Pearls - Cast (Rust Patina Vinyl) - VINYL LP
27.49 USD
Since his 2012 debut as Heathered Pearls, Jakub Alexander has constructed art - music, objects, installations, performances - as a way of re-imagining fragments of his past and mapping ideas for his future. The Polish-born, Michigan-raised, New York-based artist and producer sees imagery and narrative framework as fluid components to his craft. Alexander's first album, Loyal, mimicked the hypnotic motions of ocean waves at night, offering melodic, loop-based ambient music as a tribute to the tasteful influence of his mother and aunt. The second Heathered Pearls album, Body Complex, found inspiration from comfort, imperfection, and visions of interior architecture, transforming Loyal's soft textures into driving 4/4 figures, glacial tone drifts, and starry synth plateaus. His 2017 EP, Detroit, MI 1997 - 2001, reflected on a formative era through ephemeral dance music. The third Heathered Pearls full-length, Cast, returns to moodier loop formats joined by the distinctly new presence of the spoken word. The move mirrors the multitudes of it's namesake collaborators comprise a cast, healing in the bind of a cast, complex emotions and the shadows they cast. Alexander started work on Cast when living in Berlin and in Queens. InchI hit a wall listening to these tracks when they were instrumental.Inch This is where he diverged from previous modes, deciding to integrate speech. With a healthy distaste for aspects of performance art, he invited strictly non-scripted recordings, a series of anti-performances. This new adds a surprising human element to music that has previously operated as sea-shapes or infrastructure. These flashes of language, Alexander's close friends speaking about things, narratively and cerebrally, casually and profoundly, turn the distinctive Heathered Pearls sound into something surprisingly gritty, tangible, and in certain sweeps, cinematic. It is as
Ghostly Int'l The Emeralds - Does It Look Like I'm Here? - Ectoplasm - VINYL LP
32.98 USD
Pitchfork acknowledged the rarefied nature of the album's electricity with a InchBest New MusicInch . This crossover success is a result of the tracks' potency and wonderfully engineered and succinct structures. It's dialed in. Still creating their distinct yawning cosmic sound, Elliott and Hauschildt shower the stereo spectrum with shimmering arpeggios, dusty, melodically dynamic swells, rippling FM textures, and
Ghostly Int'l Khotin - Release Spirit - Pink Cloud - VINYL LP
27.49 USD
Pink Cloud Vinyl. Canadian producer Dylan Khotin-Foote has kept his Khotin alias going for the better part of a decade; the impressionistic electronic project shifts with the movements in his life. Sometimes it leads, like when the club-friendly grooves of 2014's Hello World immersed him in the heart of Vancouver's underground dance scene, and sometimes it follows, like 2018's Beautiful You, a downtempo salve for DJ fatigue. His melodic sensibility and playful ear for atmosphere remain the rippling core of the project's fingerprint; whether beat-driven or ambient, a foggy smear or a dusted and pristine print, a Khotin track has a distinct and instantly recognizable swirl. During and after the 2020 of Finds You Well, his second LP on Ghostly International, Khotin-Foote settled back into a slower vibe in his hometown of Edmonton. Even before the pandemic, his pivots to softer production, and away from DJing, left him with fewer opportunities in Vancouver and club bookings overall, and as a self-identifying introvert, he was fine with that. But the change of pace did open space for Khotin-Foote to grapple with concepts of adulthood and career. At his lowest, he almost walked off this musical path altogether; instead, he doubled down on the craft - the tone, pacing, and dynamism of new material - arriving at a definitive full-length. With Spirit, Khotin releases himself from the pressure of expectation, fusing and refining everything we know about his music. The warmth and familiarity of Khotin's dreamy, dulcet style meet new ideas and frameworks, a natural progression, a modest revelation; Khotin confirms it is okay to move slowly and he's never sounded better doing it.The album title borrows from the Inch spiritInch mechanic in the video game World of Warcraft. When players die, they are prompted to their spirit and return as ghosts to find their corpses and come
